Today is technology Tuesday which is the day I get to share with you what I think about some of the technology that I use to make what I do easier. Today I wanted to let you know about Imgur.
IMGUR – The Simple Image Sharer
I found out about Imgur a few months ago when I was trying to figure out how to upload a graphic for use in my email. Due to the way my email service at the time Aweber (which I will never recommend in a zillion years) was working, it was difficult to include an image in the email without a lot of difficulty. Then I found Imgur.
Just as Imgur’s tagline says, it is a very simple way to share images. What I like about Imgur is that you don’t even have to have an account to use it, but if you want to set up an account, it’s free and very easy to do so.
Imgur offers numerous tools that you can use that work with it, and if you’re tech savy you can add your own tools also.
There is also an extensive gallery of pictures that are uploaded by other users and even a sidebar that shows “best captions” from the day. Since it’s totally fun to see a picture and caption it…wouldn’t you agree?
Here’s a picture of Golden Girl, Betty White, with her other Golden Girl buddies. You may see the captions people used for this picture here.
Imgur also offers a paid membership, which you would never even know about unless you search intentionally for it or find it accidentally like I did. The paid membership allows you more space for your pictures. Click here to learn more about the premium membership.
What I like about Imgur the best is that when you upload an image to their platform, they give you numerous options to share your image with others, or to use for your website, blog or email. Here’s a screen shot of the different options.

I also find using Imgur great especially when you are using another platform that may require you to use a picture but they don’t give you access to share your picture.
I highly recommend checking out their website today, and get yourself acquainted with Imgur. It has saved me many headaches and provided a place where I can store screenshots and other images that I may use frequently, and all for free.
